New VIM Commands I Learnt

  • F x – search backwards for the first occurance of character x.
  • f x – search forwards
  • ~ – change the case of the character under cursor.
  • ^ – takes you the beginning of the line
  • I – insert before first non-blank character in the line (effectively in the beginning)
  • A – append at the end of line
  • V – select visual mode – per line basis
  • Ctrl-v – start visual mode – bock wise (??)
  • diw – delete inner word (no matter where on the word the cursor is)
  • dip – delete inner paragraph
  • diB – delete inner “{” “}” block.
